Abstract
This paper deals with an object-oriented framework for the dynamic simulation of chemical processes, Odysseo. After a detailed description of the architecture of Odysseo, the modelling of some particular unit operations is described. This framework is the basis of the design of the hybrid modelling software component of the OPERA (Operators training distributed real-time simulations) European Esprit project.
